In this post, I will explain to you how to get orders on Fiverr or other freelance platforms by selling your services through cold emails. Also, I will share with you the top marketing strategies. Read till the end.

Sending cold emails is a great way to market your Fiverr gigs and sell your services. Even if you use another freelance platform like Upwork or PeoplePerHour, you can do it. Start collecting email addresses, verifying them, and then create converting templates for bulk emails.

 

2. How to collect email addresses and build your email list.

A.) Start by collecting email addresses. This is the most significant and first step to start an email campaign. You can do this in two major ways:

 

i. Email Scraping

ii. Content Marketing

 

Let's talk about them one by one now.

-Scrape Emails from YouTube

You can find the relevant channels on YouTube, go to their about section, and click on "View Email Address." There you go.



-Use Google to Scrape Email Addresses

If you sell ‘Digital marketing' services, go to Google and search for emails relevant to Digital marketing. But how do you do it? Enter “Digital marketing” in the search bar, followed by “@gmail.com” or “domain.com”. Now Google will show you the results containing emails.

In the search settings, make sure the number of results is set to 100. You will not be required to keep clicking to see the next page if you use this method.

The Chrome Web Store has email extracting extensions you can download and install if you use Google Chrome. Then you can copy and paste all the results from Google into the email extraction tool. It will take a few moments for the emails to appear.

 

ii. Use Content Marketing

 

Content marketing techniques can be used to collect email addresses. Utilize lead magnets to capture email addresses.

 

What is a lead magnet? Lead magnets are incentives offered by marketers in exchange for buyers' e-mail addresses and other contact information.

Lead magnets, in general, are downloadable content. These can be eBooks, whitepapers, or even videos.

B) Verify Your Email Addresses

Getting orders on Fiverr or other platforms is much easier than you might imagine.

That's why you need to keep on cleaning your email list. Delete the addresses that are not active. This is the secret of increasing open rates and CTR. The first thing you need to do is verify the email addresses you have collected.

You can do that by visiting H-Supertools' free email address validator and registering with them. They can validate email addresses with an accuracy of up to 98%.


3.    How to send bulk emails to sell a service

Your email address can be used to get orders on Fiverr or any other platform. If you're not on any freelance marketplace, you can sell your services via cold emails. Bulk emails are required for that.

 

The term "bulk" refers to a maximum of 500–1000 emails per day.

We can achieve this with several methods:

1.       Use a cold mail service like Getresponse.

2.       Gmail + GmassMail merge extension.

3.       E.T.C

 

Here's how you do it:

 

GETRESPONSE

You need a GetResponse account to get started. If you do not have a GetResponse account, you can sign up here. Once you have signed up with GetResponse, you can proceed with the next steps to set up your bulk emails.

Sign in to your GetResponse account.

Start the import by clicking Add contacts to Lists. A new page opens.

From the drop-down menu, select a list. You can select Add to autoresponder cycle to have the contacts begin receiving autoresponders. After that, choose the day in the cycle you're adding the contacts to.

Specify how you'd like to add contacts by selecting Upload a file, Use an external service, or Paste rows.

 

You can then choose whether to:

upload a file

copy and paste a list

use a 3rd party service

 

Once you have added your list, you will need to complete the upload process.

 

Copying and pasting a list

Choose Paste from the file. Please remember that you can enter only one email address per line. If you want to add any custom fields along with the emails you need to separate them with commas. To add another entry press Enter. For example:

vitella@aol.com,vitella,female,35

bella@hotmail.com,Bella,female,29

Adama@gmail.com,Adama,male,28

Note: semicolons or spaces can also be used to separate fields within a row as well.

Then click Import.

 

After importation, the next thing is to set up an email.

·         On your dashboard, you’ll see a button labeled ‘create’, click on it.

·         Select ‘create a newsletter’.

·         Create a title for your messages (only you can see it)

·         Write in the ‘subject line’

·         To personalize this, click on the profile icon at the left and add what aspects to the contact fields you want in there.

·         Add recipients click on recipients and select the email list you want to send the bulk emails to.

 

Email Design/looks

Before you send your Getresponse bulk email, please review the following steps.

·         Scroll to ‘design and contents’ click on ‘design message’.

·         Once you click on that, a new page will open on the ‘design and content’, you’ll see a menu with the following options ‘pre-designed templates’, ‘my templates’, blank templates’, ‘HTML editor’, ‘existing messages’.

·         Click on blank templates.

·         Among the options shown, click on ‘blank template’

·         Now according to your getresponse bulk email contents, drag and drop the useful block on your layout.

·

You can drag and drop various features into the email composing area.

Send Your Email.

You have now completed the steps necessary to send bulk emails using GetResponse.

 

GMASS.

Go to GMASS and register there. Install the GMASS chromeextension. Go to Gmail if that's where you send your emails. Add all your email addresses to the 'To' section, and test your addresses with GMass.

 


You can also send bulk emails using your system if you wish.


After you have completed this process, click on 'next' (you can find this button in the upper right corner of your screen).

Sending immediately or arranging to do so later will be the next step. Click on send immediately.

 

Let me now point out something important.

It's highly recommended that you use a business email and not your free Gmail account so that when you send emails, you'll appear professional and be able to gain more trust.


4. How to do A/B split testing to increase your email marketing ROI?

 Simply send two different emails to different audiences, and observe which one converts better.

As you implement these best practices, it’s important to test each (segmentation, content, design, time-of-day) to see what works best for your readers. While it may take a bit of work to understand your audience, your investment will result in:
